Throughout your 8-month research placement, the primary objective is to craft a comprehensive research proposal. Recognizing the constraints of this timeline, we will collaborate to define a research topic that your interests within the confines of our research program. Once your topic of interest is identified, you may be paired with a graduate student or myself to help the realization of this goal.

You will attend weekly / biweekly meetings with me. You will read and synthesize scientific literature and then learn to analyze papers in your area of interest. It's also mandatory for you to participate in all scheduled lab meetings. These sessions are invaluable for obtaining feedback, sharing insights, and adjusting your proposal based on collective expertise.

In the spirit of collaboration, you're encouraged to leverage the experience of your colleagues, including graduate students. Our lab thrives on a culture of mutual guidance and support. While we all have our individual tasks, everyone remains accessible for discussions, brainstorming, and providing directions. If challenges arise during the formulation of your research proposal, consult with the team. We might not have immediate answers, but we're adept at directing you to resources or methodologies that can assist in crafting a strong proposal.
